Most people don't even know what their passion is in life. So these advises of following one's passion stimulates their mind with hopes and expectations of doing something they like and achieving huge success, money and fame. They don't even know how much hardship those people who followed their liking and achieved success have gone through and start acting on the impulses. They start searching for passion, when they don't even know what they are after. I don't mean you to don't follow your passion , i am only tellng you the truth about the path doing what you like to do.
They think think they don't have to work hard if they follow their passion
This is the thing that decide whether you will be able to survive by doing your passion or not . Just because you are doing something you like and because this high interest you are good at it doesn't mean you will achieve success in it. The fact is you have to work so hard that no one is of your competition in it. If you follow the advice and start doing your liking and stop working then you will never achieve anything, and fall into regret and depression later on for the rest of your life. Just because you are doing your passion doesn't mean you are the best, you deserve the best, of you think you can achieve something then you have to work gard to earn it.
Financial situation plays a big roll in it
Believe it or not following your passion can be expensive and without financial stability, not having emergency funds and other thing and support following this advice is the dumbest thing you can do in your life. I will give you an example, I live in India so it would be based on my knowledge of my country. Let's say you live in india and you belong to a middle class family like the majority and you want to become a classical pianist then first you have to make your parents agree to it, and it would be very tough, 2nd You have to know that in India there is no future for you in Classical piano and you have to study abroad if you want to achieve something, 3rd it will be very expensive for your family to afford you to study music's abroad, 4th your family won't be able to pay for it and either you'll still do it and become some music teacher who couldn't achieve much or your parent paid for it and you went abroad, did moderate hard work and didn't achieve much to your expectations and on contrary you put your family in a financial crisis and produced no fruit. this is just one example in possible thousands, I want you to learn that that you should focus on achieving financial stability and then pursue these passions later in life, you can change your life and profession at any point of life but having a good financial support is the key to the possibility of this change.
They think that there can be only one passion
Most of the bunch think that there can only be one passion in one's life but truth is there can be many. Think about it you may like soccer but you also like science and drawing. In these three there's one that can lead you more opportunities than others but you may like one more than this opportunity filled one. And here's the mistake you do you choose the one you you like more and don't achieve anything, regrets later in life and looses happiness but those who choose the opportunity filled one works harder, achieves more and gets more satisfactions in life. Learn from this how to catch opportunities and become successful rather than following the dumb advice of Following your passion and lead an unsuccessful life filled with regrets and negetivity.
